Our restaurant is Salem's "hidden Gem" located by the Salem Common and a few doors down from the World renowned, Peabody Essex Museum. We are also across the street from the Hawthorne Hotel. We are independently owned with one co-owner serving as Executive Chef. Wait staff not attentive on a Sat afternoon. Ordered drinks and appetizers. Waited 52 minutes for appetizers that never showed up before we bailed. Saw our waitress twice in that time span. Never asked if we wanted another drink or refill our water. This place sucked when it was the Old Spot and the name change hasn't made much difference. Menu is unimaginative and boring for Salem. Walked down to Comida and had a burrito.

Sorry you had a bad experience today Sean. Unfortunately a lot of people came in at once and our kitchen and staff were a little overwhelmed but thats no excuse. As you can see from the numerous reviews, our service and food is what stands out with the hundreds of people who have come in to see us and I stand by that. This afternoon was not a good one. I will use your comments to help my staff get better going forward. Again, I apologize!
Every time we come here, it's NEVER a disappointment!! My boyfriend and I stopped by two weeks ago and ate at the bar. We had the Surf and Turf Sliders (ummm, you NEED to try these...like YESTERDAY!!) for appetizer, and I had the steak tips (perfectly medium rare <3) and my boyfriend had the Burrata ravioli. O. M. G. Great atmosphere, food, owner and staff. When you're even just close to Salem, visit the Pub. You won't be disappointed.
Honestly one of the best burgers I have ever had. I highly recommend it to anyone visiting salem. Prices are what you'd expect for a pub. Kevin was awesome and was spot on in his food suggestions.
