Our restaurant is Salem's "hidden Gem" located by the Salem Common and a few doors down from the World renowned, Peabody Essex Museum. We are also across the street from the Hawthorne Hotel. We are independently owned with one co-owner serving as Executive Chef. We had a table of six. We tried appetizers, main dishes, desserts, and drinks. Appetizers were superb. Duck wings, cheese fritter balls, and meatballs stood out. We went because of the Venison special and it didn't dissapoint. Short ribs, steak tips cooked with care. Flour less chocolate cake and bread pudding finished things up. Definitely going back again. Our group ranged from 20 to 50 and all liked it.

Bought a round of drinks $28 then 5 minutes later we were told they were closed and had to leave. The bartender should of informed us of this and not served us. Not good business practice. Will not ever get our business again.

your party was served at 12.35am as last call was given. The owner (me) came around to everyone and informed them that there was 15mins to closing time. I came around again at 12.55 to give everyone 5 mins to finish up and informed everyone nicely that we have to close at 1am. I was ignored, so I asked nicely again that everyone please finish up. Food was great, but had to find out about drink cost, apparently they are fluid...
I pop in to imbibe in adult beverages, after a hard days work. Love me some, "Captain's Daughter" ;-) The staff....amazing...all warm & friendly. Food....YUMMM!!! I always recommend this place to my customers!
The absolute BEST onion rings you will ever have! Love the atmosphere, super friendly staff and you, of course, can't beat the location.
came up to Salem to see my daughter in college, took her to dinner here, food excellent, service excellent and our waitress was top notch. Next time i trek up to Salem i will be stopping here again!!
