About this business
History Established in 1998. It was a rainy Mother's day in 1998 when we discovered the 75 acres and abandoned farm house at the foothills of the Blue Ridge Mountains. With the help of family, friends, and a local grape grower, we soon began working to transform the property into Old House Vineyards. Today, the formerly overgrown alfalfa fields are lush vineyards producing grapes for our award-winning wines. Besides the warm welcome we always receive from the staff, we always enjoy interacting with other guests as well. You never know who you're going to meet there; could be just some local neighbors, or folks travelling, or DC neighbors escaping the hustle of the city for the day. I think the atmosphere influences everyone to relax & enjoy the beautiful scenery as well as the wine. I have two favorites wineries and Old House is one of them. Very good wine, good price, good food and the people that work there are very nice. Love to go there with my friends and even the kids have fun.
Old House Vineyards is a beautiful winery and an amazing wedding venue! As a wedding photographer I have had the pleasure of capturing 2 weddings at this venue so far to date and hope for many more! I highly recommend Old House Vineyards for your wedding or a glass of wine!
We had a great time here! Christine gave us excellent service and was very informative. She told us the history and science behind the vineyard and was very engaging. The wines we tasted were delicious and we couldn't help going back for more. Its too bad that we never got to try the pizza, it smelled great!
Found them by accident today while " out for a drive". Man I'm glad we found them. We will be coming back soon such a pretty deck and great wine and don't forget great people
This is a beautiful place for a wedding and I love photographing weddings here. Allyson is incredibly efficient, friendly and extremely helpful. She makes such a warm host and her staff is simply the best. Old House wines are wonderful Virginia wines and you will not be disappointed!
