About this business
History Established in 1998. It was a rainy Mother's day in 1998 when we discovered the 75 acres and abandoned farm house at the foothills of the Blue Ridge Mountains. With the help of family, friends, and a local grape grower, we soon began working to transform the property into Old House Vineyards. Today, the formerly overgrown alfalfa fields are lush vineyards producing grapes for our award-winning wines. Love it, a great way to have an old fashioned picnic, bring your own or have a delicious woodfired oven pizza. There is a giant chess set, corn hole games, a catch and release fishing pond, horse shoes, and other activities, a great place for a fun day.
As always we liked every wine we had in the tasting. And as always we loved our pizza. The fact that there was a chilli cook off that day too really made our day.
A very special and unique vineyard. We always enjoy every and frequent visits.
Visited from North Carolina and thoroughly enjoyed the gorgeous grounds and tasty Virginia wines. Highly recommended!
