The Old Homestead Steak House first opened in 1868 and it remains a straightforward, old-fashioned steakhouse without sacrificing any of the modern amenities. In this sense, thankfully, it is no longer that difficult to get Kobe beef from Japan, which probably wasn't on the menu in 1868. Most of the dishes are priced in the higher range, but are well worth your money.

RecommendedGreat steaks. Large portions
Lovely place to eat rib eye is perfect would come again
On Thanksgiving, I enjoyed a fabulously cooked sirloin steak along with side order's of mashed potato's and stringbean's. The food and service were superb. I definitely will return to dine at this very fine restaurant in the Chelsea section of Manhattan. I highly recommend this dining establishment. Enjoy.
