Went to the slides this weekend and they were closed :( Also, they were a lot shorter and less fun than I expected. Probably won't make a second trip back over to them.
This is a cute little place for kids or for adults. Kinda hidden but thats nice becasue not a lot of people know about it and there are no tourist. Slide is pretty scary and make sure to bring a piece of cardboard with you. There is also a little garden up the ally way from the slides that is nice to walk through. It was a lot of fun and I will totally be back soon to conquer the slides.
Woody Guthrie Square; & historic San Fernando Building. Woodrow Wilson (“Woody") Guthrie (1912-1967), composer of "This Land is Your Land,” arrived in Los Angeles in 1937 along with thousands of other migrant workers and families from the "Dust Bowl” region. He wrote hundreds of songs and often performed them at rallies, house parties and street corners on Main Street between 4th and 5th Streets. In 1940, Guthrie left Los Ang... read more

Do yourself a favor and avoid this building as a choice for apartment living. The turn around on the landlords and assistants working in the leasing office is so fast that it will make you dizzy. Pets are allowed, which is great until you hear them running across the cement poured flooring up above you, day in and day out. Noise complaints are a complete joke and treated like monopoly dollars; no value to them, that is. I am already plotting my escape from this Hell(man) building. Parking is adjacent to the building and over... read more
