RecommendedThe river was awesome! l loved the waterfall/rapid sections. They did over crowd the river. The first couple rapids were a disaster that could have been avoided if they regulated releasing people. their was a 5 canoe pile up not 200 ft from launch. not a single warning. I got threw fine but just about every person that come threw had a dangerous wreck. like I said could have easily been avoided if released in small groups and warned. other then that great time great river and the facility was very clean.
Highly unsatisfied. I understand needing to fill reservations in priority over walk ins, but when a group of people that stood behind me in line for a walk-in gets on a bus before me, that’s not okay. I had a small group of 4 and waited for over 2 hrs, and then the group behind me got on a bus before my group?! WTH? Should it not be first come first serve?

RecommendedNice canopy of trees for much of the route and nice swimming holes. I also recommend the kayaks over the canoes, so much easier to maneuver. Nice clean facilities at the Okatoma Outdoor Post with multiple showers (I have never had to wait for one) and it is definitely way upscale compared to other rental sites I have used in my travels.
