It was a great time! We ended up doing 13 miles instead of 7! I would recommend doing just 7 because the 6 miles after 7 weren't as pretty and there were a lot of trees down! At one point we had to completely get out the kayak and drag it across the rock sandbar to get past a tree that covered the entire creek! But all in all one of the best places I've kayaked recently! I'd come back and bring my friends but just do 7 miles!
We had the best experience today. The owner brought us down to the river himself suggested we use a kayak instead of a canoe what a great suggestion! The river is very nice, easy ride. We highly recommend if you are in the area take time to enjoy a relaxing afternoon it is easy with Okatoma Canoe Rental. Thank you for the terrific experience and thank you four seasons Rv park for the recommendation.
First time kayaking and totally loved it! Went with my niece and she had been so she informed us of what to expect, otherwise we wouldn't know what to do. Great experience. Do NOT use canoe, just kayak. Canoe hard to maneuver, kayak much better.
We had a great time. Great for beginners. The large bathrooms and showers were clean (but wish the bathroom stalls and showers had locks). We will definitely be back.
I am an intermediate experienced kayaker, I had a great time. My nephew and his gf had a good time once they got the hang of canoe steering. The staff tried hard to swap the canoe for a kayak but they were unable to find one available, due to reservations, and that's not their fault, but I am thankful they made a few phone calls and tried.
