I rarely leave reviews like this but felt compelled too after reading others. This review is for the fitness/sports enthusiast that is doing his/her due diligence in search of a good surgeon. Dr. Okamura is your guy. Dr. Okamura has done both my shoulders now. I am extremely passionate about surfing & explosive calisthenics. I trained jiu jitsu for years after my first shoulder surgery and had people trying to rip my arm off a few times a week. Being fit and strong was my entire identity. Great doctor
Worth the wait! Dr. Okamura is in a league of his own. He thoroughly & expertly reviewed my imaging then examined my joint. He explained it all & by the end of my initial consultation I knew exactly what to expect. I have confidence Dr Okamura can help me recover. While other doctors/surgeons have failed to even assess patients properly, I will gladly wait (as other reviewers have mentioned) as long as it takes to get things done right! Yes, I had to wait hours. Yes, it was worth it!
Suppose to have hand surgery in 2 wks. Still not sure the time, if need pre-op visit. Keep calling office, very hard to get to talk to anyone. Some times no answering machine will pick up. Recording says 8:00AM -4:00 PM , waiting at office to open at 8:00 AM and now 8:30AM no one here. Unsatisfactory
Been here on appointments twice and both times had to wait 45 minutes after my appointment time til I was seen. While trying to talk through my health concerns during my exam, he dictates everything I’m saying (as I’m saying them) into his phone’s voice notes. This was very distracting and made it hard to communicate.
