Since the restaurant is popular the owners don’t feel a need to provide much customer service. The quality of fish was probably decent for So Cal, but not nearly the quality we’re used to in the NW. The fried oysters were good as was the tempura, pork belly and miso soup. Nothing special overall, server didn’t know her menu or sake. I’m sure this is a good restaurant for what it offers in the area, but I wouldn’t return. Everything was great! Although the lobster hand roll was a little dry. I also didn’t care that we were really really discouraged from sitting at the bar!
Excellent meal, very kind people. Some of the best Japanese food I've had!
Shocked that it took so long to find this gem. Everything is outstanding!
