I've taken my kids to Van Wert ER many times and I'm always impressed by their compassion and timelines for an emergency visit.
Van Wert ER is a joke! Wait for hours in pain and NOBODY CARES!! You would think seeing somebody in misery one may think... well maybe I should see if I can get them a room?? Nope not at Van Wert County Hospital!! You would rather watch them suffer in pain than help! I would say your motto is "Come to us in pain and AFTER we watch you suffer in pain, we will send you home in pain!" Or "What can we NOT do to help?" I'm sure glad I don't have to answer for your actions when this life is over, BUT YOU DO!
I was there this evening for blood work, the woman who drew it was Janelle (spelling) she was amazing! Got me on the first try and also had a good sense of humor to keep the comfort good! If I were a person who became uneasy about blood work, I would definitely recommend her, positive attitude and good work!!
Just want to thank everyone from the ER team of nurses, doctors and xray techs to the nurses, doctors and staff upstairs, surgeons and anesthesia team, all of them were absolutely wonderful and professional and caring toward me while I was there this week.
Most of the staff is great! The facility is maintained to great standards but one thing I think the hospital needs to take into account is the repeated complaints of Dr. Hilty the ER Doctor. He is rude and demeaning and makes people who ask questions feel dumb! We aren't doctors so that's why we ask it isn't common sense for normal people! But thanks to the staff who truly makes it a great environment when they are around!
