It is unfortunate that this practice seems more concerned about their surgery numbers rather than a standard of care. My husband had his knee replaced in April and after calling several times about concerns about the wound site with no helpful response from his surgeon, our general practitioner got him in quickly and then requested that the surgeon have him hospitalized because of a severe wound infection.
