Seasonal travelers (May-Sep) and an inefficient TSA program have affected O'Hare's checkpoint speed. If you don't have PreCheck, plan on arriving to the airport 2-2.5 hrs before your flight.
Try not to arrive at terminal 1 then catch a connection at terminal 5.
Big airport..keep atleast 2 hours in hand for security checks...lines are very long
