Sadly, one of the worst airports in the world for weather flight delays. Avoid in general, especially for connections, unless you can’t.
Publican Tavern, terminal 3
With the people mover closed, it’s anyone’s best guess as to how to get from terminals 1-3 to terminal 5. Just get out of the terminal and try to find the shuttle if you can. Don’t trust the signage
It’s an airport that reimagines itself. The planners listen to passengers. The new expansion plan will make ORD one of the most technologically advanced airports in the world, and stunning by design.
Great food in the terminals. Easy to navigate. Directly connected to the transit station. TSA here is 🗑. Always with an attitude and couldn't be more annoying. But, otherwise a cool airport.
You’ll have to try the Delta Lounge while you are here for self-serve cocktails, snacks, breakfast, lunch, dinner. Pour yourself that double.
O’Hare’s B and C concourses are fine for a layover, just make sure you have enough time.
Berghoff Café at the end of terminal C is a great place for a sandwich. Worth the extra walk if you have time.

O'Hare International Airport is closed now. It will open at 9:00 a.m.
