Worst place I've ever been! – I can only say that this was the worst salon I have ever been to in my fifty years on earth! I was sitting in the chair and the stylist was on her cell phone not paying any attention to my hair, then she had baby daddy drama cause he wasn't paying child support and she was yelling and swearing. Then she walked away from my hair in the middle of a relaxer and when she came back she rinsed me out. But she said she had to go and left. After an hour she came back, and she washed my hair but the poli... read more

EVERYTHING ABOUT THIS REVIEW IS FALSE !!!!!!!!!! REALLY, I CAN ACCEPT ANY COMMENT, HOWEVER BAD & NON-CONSTRUCTIVE ...BUT, IT IS AN EXTREMELY SAD REALIZATION TO THINK THAT PEOPLE ACTUALLY FABRICATE STORIES...& FOR WHAT--- FUN??!! FOR TRUE BONAFIDE HATERS, THAT WOULD EXPLAIN THE IGNORANCE! *note* JEALOUSY/HATE IS NEVER A GOOD LOOK ON ANYONE! :( VERY UNFORTUNATE, PEOPLE, VERY UNFORTUNATE....

Don't spend all of your grocery money in this place – I paid over $100 for a hairstyle that I could have done at home. Don't let the same thing happen to you. Ask for the prices up front and if they recommend something extra then ask them to tell you the price of that too!

Business response:

Here at Oh! my nappy hair, we never advertise that we do styles that our clients can not do @ home. Contrary, we encourage, inform and share tips w/ clients on styles/techniques that they CAN do @ home. WHAT we do advertise is our 20 years expertise of healthy natural haircare, our attention to details & the top quality of our products! Which adds up to ...we do it better. If you are on a budget, we can suggest what's the best value for you so you can walkout feeling confident about your purchase! But, don't be discouraged!

Great place to get your natural hair cut and styled - LOVE their conditioner! – Oh! My Nappy Hair was the only place I've found that knows how to cut natural hair and cut it WELL! I've been searching all over Atlanta for a place that can cut natural (curly-kinkie, wavy, wooly - whatever you want to call it) hair and they do an excellent job. The owner, Erica actually cut my hair and all I had to do was show her a picture of the style I wanted and she took it from there. It turned out beautifully. She was very busy that day, ... read more

Business response:

Peace & Blessings 2 U! You don't know HOW much I appreciate you taking the time to write a positive, detailed and might I add- ACCURATE review! So, often times as a business owner and definitely as a stylist, we are pulled in many directions in any given moment. Thus, not pleasing everyone to "their" specifications. It is ALWAYS my intention however to eradicate such dissatisfaction within my awareness and to give clients the highest quality hair service they can imagine! Also, I have to say you are right- LOL, sometimes I d... read more

Worst Customer Service & Overpriced – I went to OMNH in LA and was pleased with the African stylist who braided my hair but after a couple of encounters with the owner's daughter, Erica, (she's the light-skinned woman with the SERIOUS attitude), I stopped patronizing them. Fortunately, the braider stopped working for them and I went to her home instead. So on a trip to Atlanta, I decide that I'll go to OMNH b/c I was desperate to have my hair done and I believed Erica could not have been in 2 places at the same time. Wrong! ... read more

Business response:

It's in my best interest to keep clients smiling & keep the energy in our business positive! I remember you- you came in loud and disrespectfully. It is odd that you use the word respect, but never showed ANY to our establishment. I appreciate ALL of the clients, most of them are very positive individuals but, not you!...Question: why would someone expect not to see an owner again @ her own location?? Usually, if someone w/ complaints like yours, returns its because nowhere else would tolerate them and/or what we offer, is u... read more

Poor customer service! – I had passed by Oh My Nappy Hair Salon a number of times while doing freelance work in the downtown Atlanta area. I have dreadlocks that scrape my lower back, and was looking for a good salon to go to for grooming. One day I decided to walk into the salon just to ask about an appointment, maybe chat with a hair specialist and get a business card. When I walked inside Oh My Nappy Hair Salon, I didn't see a receptionist. I did see a few stylists working on people's hair. A few of them looked up at me, ... read more

Business response:

First and foremost, no offense, but we have NEVER had a man with dreadlocks working at the salon. Perhaps he was a client or a friend of a client or stylist...???? I'm not sure- but I do know for sure, he was not an employee nor a manager. Secondly, I can reassure you that if a client does walk in, while there is no one @ the front desk, it is usually because the staff member has briefly stepped away...perhaps, even to use the restroom or to accommodate another client, who has a scheduled appointment. However I promise you- ... read more

Great Press & Curl – I took my daughter here for the first time, last minute on saturday as a walk in. They were wonderful she was seen as soon as we arrived. I spoke to the owner Erica and explained what my daughter wanted and she listened, was very professional and courteous. She did an excellent press, curl and trim she look like she had a perm. The atmosphere was very nice and I would recommend this salon.

Business response:

Give Thanks!
