I went to Ochsner Baptist for an appointment on 10/30/2020 orthopedic surgeon 920. only to be told they would not treat me because I didn't have insurance, I then proceeded to tell them that I pay cash "in hand" for their services. I was told by a very nice nurse that the doctor/hospital dose not accept cash. REALLY? I guess when you pay cash they can't overcharge you. RecommendedI live right Nextdoor to a house that Ochsner owns that has become unlivable, obviously to Ochsner’s own wishes. My Nieghbor’s and I have witnessed homeless people seeking shelter in this house on multiple occasions. I have 2 small children and live right Nextdoor to this house, which I just discovered again a man sleeping on the porch with a pillow and blanket and he is having Covid meal boxes delivered to him daily at this vacant house.
I had a natural water birth on August 12, 2020. Every single person that took care of me were wonderful and very informative. I felt so loved and well taken care of. I HIGHLY recommend Ochsner Baptist to anyone who wants to give birth. Their staff goes above and beyond to accommodate all needs and will do anything to make you feel comfortable. 10/10 recommend this great hospital!!
I was unexpectedly transferred to the facility where it was not satisfactory. My mother was told to wait in the waiting room and someone would update her, which they did not. She was ignored for 4 hrs. I had a resident come talking about consent forms so fast, she had to change the forms she had three times because she was unaware I was to have a tubal ligation. I do not recommend Ochsner hospitals/clinics to anyone!!!! Just because COVID-19 is happening doesn’t mean that give you all any right to abuse and mistreat patience. We will be taking legal action!!!
I love everything about Ochsners. My husband and I feel like we’re getting the best of the best in healthcare.
