Horrible if you ask me. We went there with a large party. The management complained about me asking for some noodles for my child that I offered to pay for. Members of our party had sides items they had ordered missing. We basically refilled our own drinks. The people were "friendly" is about the only positives I can say about this restaurant. Oh, and the food was better after I reheated it in the oven the following day than at the actual restaurant.
Service was very nice but service alone does not make up for the poor quality of food. Every piece of food was soggy and tasted wattered down. The sides seem like it came from frozen food packages. The alaskan white fish was so soggy it pratically disolved then i tried to pick it up with my fork.The scallops and shrimp tasted like it had been sitting in a frezzer for month. I just moved in the area,and a friend of mine suggested this restaurant for great seafood at a good price.My personal favorite was the kalamari appetizer and the chicken alfredo plate.The food and the service was great,and it has become one of my favorite places to eat.
Just moved in the area and visited the restaurant, the food was gr8. Our waitress informed us that she forgot about us. When inquiring about a lemon wedge she again forgot us. Upon the refill of my boyfriends soda, she poured it frm a cup she was carrying. No tip for her accept "seek a course in proper waitressing".
Try their fish,popcorn shrimp,oyster poboy and gumbo .you see what I'm talking about they was so good...real southern seafood...
longnempty My wife and I have been to many restaurants in Columbia. Ocean View is one of the best in South Carolina. You might get better service and ambiance, but the food is great and the price too low.
The Guy and his wife WTF!!! To the guy and his wife who went to this establishment, where the hell did ya think you were going some fine seafood resturant? Dumbass! You get what you pay for so if you and your wife want some fine seafood cuisine go to Red Lobster and stop being a cheap ass! Oceanview was really good when I went there. Go to Red Lobster!!!
