They barely have time to talk on the phones to their loved ones everyday. You have other patients in the background yelling at other patients to give them the phone. My mom went in there voluntary and was just there to lower her meds. After they had lowered the meds she sounded fine and was ready to go home. Then all of a sudden they make the decision to add on two medications that she doesn't need whatsoever to make her kind of sedated for no reason. I went in for help with depression and anxiety, not knowing what to do. I spoke with this doctor who completely turned everything I was saying around and made it seem like I was literally crazy with schizophrenia. That was not the case at all. I had no symptoms of that. I was literally depressed and just needed help and they made it into something it wasn’t. I wasn’t allowed to leave, I could not AMA out. I could not speak to my family. Worst place to seek help. I was really hoping all of the negative reviews were from disgruntled patients. Unfortunately, the reviews are correct. Please don’t send your loved ones here. I left Oceans today and received none of the care I was anticipating. I voluntarily came in. I saw a psychiatrist one time for less than five minutes via FaceTime. He agreed to see me the next day but never saw me again. I received no counseling or therapy. I was told I could bring in new, unopened toiletries, which is not true. I'll give it a one. Not a zero because the place didn't deserve a zero, but not a two because the place wasn't good enough for a two. My daughter went there; she was 13, and she told me every little detail she could within the 10 minutes of call time.
