high cost treatment – I wish I had checked the reviews before taking my cat to Dr. McElroy. He recommended cleaning her teeth, which would have required anesthesia, risky in an older animal. I opted instead to teach her to let me brush her teeth. It took some time, but is much less risky.
Vaccinated our dog – Dr. McElroy had been our primary veterinarian until our dog developed cancer. Following a diagnosis by a veterinary oncologist, we had our dog successfully treated. She was undergoing chemotherapy and had good quality of life. When it came time for her annual check-up, we returned to Dr. McElroy, who insisted that she had her annual "shots."
