I went to Dr. Skanes-Devold because, as a Black woman, I was happy to support another Black doctor and felt she would be more attuned to my concerns and experiences. I was having irregular periods every two weeks and was told I may have a bicornuate or septate uterus. She explained that while a procedure with a camera could help, an MRI would give a better, more complete view. 1000000% DO NOT RECOMMEND!!! Her office staff is extremely rude and unprofessional! I will update my review with further details. I am truly disappointed in this black owned business.
2022- Saw Dr. Skanes for a vbac. She believes in research based practices. Supportive, not just tolerant like everyone else. Didn't have a "bad" experience. Not perfect bed side manner, but thats ok. Not a good front desk staff. They were RUDE. Went round and round for almost a year after delivering my baby, for fees that they said I was responsible for. I have Tricare Prime Military insurance- I dont pay anything, ever. No co-pays. Nothing. They kept trying to bill me and said I was responsible for hundreds of dollars. I ju... read more
Dr. Skanes and her team are so Awesome! They have been patient and kind throughout my care. Oasis is a very comfortable cozy environment so if u in need of a knowledge, understanding obgyn go ahead an give them a call today.
