We went to look at a mobile home in Oakmont MHP that we viewed on MHL. We thought the price was a little high but the pictures looked rather nice of the home and the park . But when we arrived we definetly formed another opinion of the park. Most of the homes were old and run down and looked like no one was updating their homes like other parks that we visited. also the grounds were not as nice as the pictures showed. I have been here 4 years now and plan on staying for many more. Having worked in RV/Mobile Home parks (both 55+ and all age) in several states for 13 years I can say to anyone if you are looking for a place to live that is PERFECT(good luck in finding THAT----I've been in 5* resorts and they too have their issues to deal with )having high end amenities you are in the WRONG place. This park has SEVERAL UNMARRIED COUPLES living here ! We were told only married couples were permitted to apply for admittance as residents !

I have lived in this Park for 11 years and I have found it to be a wonderful Park with very friendly residents. The Park is clean and well kept with lots of palm trees and activities. I love the location as it is close to I-4 and especially in the spring I can see my Detroit Tigers play at the spring training stadium. Come on down and see for yourself !!

I am a frequent visitor to this park, and find the remarks from Lloyd C. to be appalling and vindictive. Under no circumstances should anyone be swayed by his remarks. The park is lovely, quiet, and definitely not to be considered "trailer trash". I understand that he has sold his home and will be moving out, soon. Have a nice life, Mr. C, hope your new neighbors are prepared to suffer your consequences.

I'm writing in response to the Pharisee who thinks he is so much better than others. This is a lovely park with many elderly and incapacitated people who are unable to do for themselves, therefore, their lots and carports are not always up to the standards they should be. I'm sure with his lack of compassion for his fellow man, that he would pass an elderly or sick person on the road without stopping to help or offering help to those who are unable to do for themselves here. In response to the current review on OAKMONT MOBILE HOME PARK, if consideration was given to the bright side it is a beautiful park with many trees, large lots, reasonable lot rents.....A BIG CONSIDERATION!!, if people want more in the way of amenties , pool, etc. they should consider that the cost will be passed along to the residents....at least the lawn service is dependable which is a plus. my husband and I were looking for a winter place to buy, we found this place on the internet. Some of the pictures looked very very nice, clean well groomed and neat....well we rode through and whoooo pictures very miss leading. The place is not neat and not groomed, there were dead trees all over the place and weeds everywhere, dirty homes with lots of clutter. There were a few nice homes but very few!!!!! We have owned our mobile for 4 years & enjoy our winters. The park manager is friendly & helpful when we need it.The park is nicely kept. There are motorcycles but the owners that live here are respectful of the other residents.
