I went here with a friend who brought her horse. I loved it so much, I brought my own horse! I would trust them with my horses life! Beautiful place and great vets!
The best. Dr. Ouellette has made such a difference in my confidence about the care my horse is getting. She is so knowledgeable, and Amy is totally comfortable with her. The entire group at Oakhurst are great to work with. They work with world class race horses and high quality horses, but are just as kind and caring with someone like me, an adult pleasure rider with my 21 year old mare. If there were more stars, I would give them!! You can't go wrong.
The best! Everyone at Oakhurst is great to work with & I'm so thankful for all of the care Dr. Root has provided to several of our horses. Jack & Cookie are good people!
My gratitude to the Oakhurst team, Cookie Root and Dr. Tara O'Brien for going the extra mile getting my Thoroughbred mare, Suthern Finesse, in foal to Grindstone this June. After two unsucessful breedings, I was getting discouraged that Finesse would not settle. Third time was a charm and I am delighted to have my good mare in foal to Grindstone! Went to Oakhurst with my Andalusian mare for a Veterinary Certificate to go to California. I had Dr. O'Brien attending her. She is only ground broke, so it is important that the veterinarian be gentle and connected to the horse. Everything went off without a hitch and I am switching all my horses to Oakhurst now.
The vets at oakhurst are all exceptional. I and my farm are blessed to have them close by.
Jack Root and the rest of the vets here are by far the best around. None of them are money hungry like most vets, they will honestly tell you what the best option is. My mare was lame and NO one could figure out why. He knew exactly what the issue was right away and has very simple and inexpensive way to fix it. So glad I found this vet office and I will most definitely be recommending it to everyone!
Jack and team are the most amazing people I have ever met put my horses needs first and made my daughter feel so special thank for taking care of crew
So worth the drive all the way from the coast. Great work and a great staff :)
