I have been in a home managed by Oaktrust for over 10 years. They used to be wonderful to work with. That completely turned around a couple of years ago. Where they were helpful and went out of their way to assist, now it is a matter of waiting, not making contact, and all their silly games. They charge (not rent but a charge that goes to them) for some dumb computer program (that I do not use). Now, they are starting a program that will report your payment history to the credit bureau. I don't understand how they have 4 stars overall. As a tenant its been like pulling teeth dealing with this company, the response times are almost non existent. I have to become a stage 5 clinger and reach out multiple times through multiple avenues to hear back from someone. when my ac went out they told me I needed to clean out my condenser line with a compressor or wet vac before they would send someone. I was harrassed the very first month that I moved into the unit. They claimed that I was running STR in the unit as well as some others supposedly. They sent an employee over to do property inspections and lied saying Ashley was from a third party company but she is actually an employee of there's and I was able to show proof of that to the judge smh smh. Rated 1 star only because zero is not an option. First, their online application wants lease applicants to provide logon ID and password for your private bank account to verify your finances. They want you to give this critical information to a third party. They are asking you to submit to a severe security breach. Let me start by saying how pleased we really are with the EXCELLENT service we have received from Oak Trust Properties. We live out of state but own a rental in South Carolina. We had to have some renovations done and get a new tenant. The combined team of the property management and Advertising teams took this task on--organizing contractors and whomever was needed to complete the job and find new tenants. We hired Oak Trust to manage my property from April 2017 to End of May 2020 while I was on military pcs orders. I would say the service was overall punctual while they managed my house, a service which was provided by Kelsie Martin my last 2 years. We were preparing to put my house back on the rental market when my orders came in and we were coming back to the area.
