Highly concerned about administrative level. There are no systems in place, huge medication management issues that caused us the greatest concern. I understand the head of the organization Scott Frank has finally come in the beginning of the month to, maybe, find out what is going on at this facility. I would like to know what steps are taking place, because although we have left, I care deeply for those remaining families who have no one to advocate. Attended 2 events there recently. People are warm and welcoming, lots of smiles. Building is beautiful. I talked to people who live there and they say they love it. You can't beat that.
If I had a make a decision for placement of my loved one it would be at Oak Park Place. For most people that could be hard to do. I think part of it is knowing the other side of the business of healthcare. Sometimes people are too soon to judge the jobs of healthcare workers. Don't even consider putting your loved one here. I took care of my mom for 5 years until I couldn't anymore. I put her at oak park thinking they could give her what I couldn't. Unfortunately I was wrong. Unskilled staff that couldn't even keep a goldfish alive. Management sucked! Nobody listens to your concerns for your loved one. My mom had 2 hospital stays and a fall out of bed within her short 7 month stay. I was there constantly trying to make things right to no prevail. Exhausting with no results.
