now no tents, popups, and probably truck campers. not family like at all. trying to turn into resort. I won't pay that kind of money to be among snooty people
it's their property, however I don't have to spend my money or time there.
Anti pop up policy...I own a class C but will not patronize a Campground with such an elitist policy
Based on their decision to restrict admission for pop ups and tents, despite owning a class A(2014 Bounder) we will not attend a planned stay due to our adult children staying in the pop up and our family friend owning a tent. Good luck in your new venture. May you continue to alienate your base.
this place only wants wealthy clients.
I just removed my five star review that I had for this place many years. I just talked with the new owners at the Chicagoland RV Show today, and they are no longer allowing pop up campers or tent camping. even though they have close to 30 non pull through campsites designed for tents. I put a down payment on a new camper at the show today, and I'm going to take my business elsewhere. If they want to discriminate against pop up campers, then it is a place I will no longer support.
lower the lot rent!!! it used to be a good place till it was sold! now the new owners don't even enforce rules!!
leave the prices where they were I been there 22 years and had to leave because of the ridiculous prices i8t was good while it lasted
So I have been staying at oak lake for 3 years and we raved about it and stayed all the time, the old owners might have had a lot of rules but it was always kept up and so much for the kids to do. And now there is barely anything for the kids to do for the price and I called in last minute to get a spot for tricker treating and was told there is no more spots. So I went to visit a friend that did get a spot and there are 25 or more empty spots. Come to find out they are under staffed and are telling me that they are telling ... read more
