About this business

History Established in 1996. In 1996, The Wildlands Conservancy saved southern California's largest historic apple ranch, Los Rios Rancho, from residential subdivision. Spent Mother's Day taking in the beauty of the poppy fields, the trickling brook that partnered with us on our trek to the knolls. Everyone was friendly and helpful. Fairly easy hike just make sure you are wearing a good pair of hiking boots or athletic shoes as you will need traction going up and down some of the trail. Take a picnic in a backpack and enjoy it overlooking vistas while you eat. No charge but donations gladly accepted.

Well maintained hikes from beginner to more advanced(stream trail). Our cubscouts went on a nature walk with Ranger Charlie. It was amazing the knowledge he shared about the surrounding mountains as well as preserve plants and trees. We went back to replant seedlings. Even us adults we learned about how to transplant baby trees to new areas. Keeping air out and native soil mixed with new soil.

Absolutely fun! I highly recommend it. Great place to hike or just hang out. Be aware that it is extremely popular during apple picking season.

The wildflower at the Botanic Garden and Children's Outdoor Discovery Center were amazing this last weekend! I recommend getting out to see them in the next few weeks!
