Quick thorough diagnosis when patient provides MRI. Complicated preparation process to surgery involving patient responsibility to contact and follow up with different PT/equipment group, surgery center and home nurse support. I had bilateral knee replacement in Jan 21 &25 of 2013. Dr Taunton gave me my life back! I now am able to play tennis 3 to 4 times a week. I was also able to win the first tournament that I played in 35 years. Thanks Doc. Mark Johnson
Knee surgery was excellent. Dr Taunton came highly recommended and no disappointments.
He left me in the waiting room after my husbands knee replacement surgery while he caught a flight to a football game. Another surgeon walked by and asked if she could help me. She was the one who told me he had left the hospital. The nurses in recovery were very happy to get me connected with him on his flight. Seems football is more important than his patients or their families. I would give him 0 stars
Knee replacement worse than knee before surgery. Dr told me after the surgery " I only have problems with the younger patients " I was 44. This was not mentioned a possibility before the surgery. I had knee replacement, MUA, 9 mos of physical therapy and can't bend past 99 degrees. Everyone else gets to 120 or better. I feel my knee is too big for my bones, or the angle is off. But he wont admit he made a mistake.
I had severe pain in both knees and almost could not walk due to Osteoarthritis. In November 2016 I had bilateral knee surgery. My postoperative course has been excellent. I have pain free mobility and full range of motion. Dr. Taunton and his staff were extremely thorough and friendly. I would highly recommend him to anyone. Dr. Robert K. Clark (retired Ob/Gyn)
