on January 6th of this year, Lashonda Hazzard, a pregnant woman in her 20s, went to this hospital in pain and was denied care. The next day both she and her baby died due to lack of care and compassion by Women's and Infants Hospital of Rhode Island. This young woman was black - a person of color
the implicit bias against black women here is dispicable.....go anywhere else for help.
So y’all killing women?close down now
Lets their patients die with no regrets! RIP Lashonda Hazard
Women & Infants Hospital of Rhode Island We want to know why 27 y/o pregnant Lashonda Hazard was not given proper medical care after complaining about severe cramping. Both Lashonda and her baby died on Jan. 7th, after she was sent home without being given a proper evaluation. #believeblackwomen
Nobody should have to beg for you to do your job. No one should have to die waiting for you to do what you advertise and trained to do. Justice for Lashonda.
You should try to actually provide care to your pregnant patients so they don't die.
Shame on you for rejecting a mother who clearly needed medical care. A woman and her child are now dead. This is unspeakable and completely negligent.
