Women & Infants Hospital of Rhode Island We want to know why 27 y/o pregnant Lashonda Hazard was not given proper medical care after complaining about severe cramping. Both Lashonda and her baby died on Jan. 7th, after she was sent home without being given a proper evaluation. #believeblackwomen
on January 6th of this year, Lashonda Hazzard, a pregnant woman in her 20s, went to this hospital in pain and was denied care. The next day both she and her baby died due to lack of care and compassion by Women's and Infants Hospital of Rhode Island. This young woman was black - a person of color
A few days ago a young woman by the name Lashonda Hazard! Came into your hospital, saying she had stomach pains. Your hospital turned her away and she later passed away! This place deserves to be shut down. How can you turn a woman bearing a child away
They turned away a dying pregnant black woman and refused her treatment. Lashonda Hazard and the fetus both died in pain.
Nobody should have to beg for you to do your job. No one should have to die waiting for you to do what you advertise and trained to do. Justice for Lashonda.
You should try to actually provide care to your pregnant patients so they don't die.
