I’ve been seeing Dr. Festic for many years and she always listens to my concerns. She has been very supportive and helpful with continuity of care.
I can’t believe I spent so much money on a 2 month wait with this doctor. Completely disregarded my symptoms like I was a 5 year old complaining. I’d recommend seeing another sleep specialist if you want someone who listens to your symptoms and actually puts an effort to find the root cause.This doctor will blow your symptoms off like they’re normal. If you are looking for a Dr. that is knowledgeable, caring and compassionate then she is it. Dr. Festic takes her time with her patients and listens to any questions you may have. I had a in lab sleep study done Friday night and received a text message from her the next night which was a Saturday. How many doctors do that? I would trust her with my life. She is top tier. I have seen many doctors due to multiple issues and I have never met one on her level.. If you want the best, she should be your choice!
Not being able to sleep is torture. Not having people listen is worse. My life and my sleep is complicated. My journey to Dr Festic was long and through a number of other physicians. They cared and tried but couldn’t really make it all make sense. Dr Festic took the time to hear me and when I was complicated and unusual, she took the time to research. Very helpful, easy to talk to about my sleep apnea..trust her expertise on my condition..so far, her recommendation has help..
She spent most of the time talking about medical testing that didn’t pertain to my diagnosis. Asked questions of me, then spent considerable time typing into the computer. Did not allow time for majority of my questions or concerns to be addressed. Did not allow me to express concerns about how her plan of care would affect my quality of life.

If you need to see a sleep specialist at Baptist, see Peter Nassar. He's more experienced and won't look at you a check or a patient seeking drugs. Dr. Festic has been by far the worst doctor I've seen in 10+ years. She will disregard your symptoms for the sake of her doctorate.If you can't see Dr. Nassar. Look elsewhere. You won't be heard or understood by Festic. I promise.

I have been previously diagnosed with Idiopathic Hypersomnia by Dr. Nassar (same office as Dr. Festic) a few years ago by way of a sleep study I did at their sleep clinic. Back then there was nothing available as far as medication goes. Now there is. It’s called Xywav. I made an appt with Dr. Festic to get a prescription for it. She refused to prescribe it, because it’s a controlled substance. She wanted me to do several, not 1, but several sleep studies to re-diagnose me with Idiopathic Hypersomnia.
