Five stars for Mi Mexico Restaurant in Bakersfield. This is exactly the kind of Mexican restaurant I like finding while traveling: colorful, unpretentious, comfortable, and focused on serving a seriously satisfying meal. The restaurant itself has a ton of character. From the bright pink exterior and patio to the colorful mismatched chairs and Mexican-themed décor inside, it feels warm and casual rather than generic or overly polished. Cute little spot with many menu options. Don't expect to be wow'd by the food..it's like Los Hermanos food with a drink/cocktail menu
Great place overall. The food was hot, fresh, well presented, and appetizing. Can't ask for too much more than that. If I were to offer one area for people to be aware of it's simply that it is table dining, and the chairs are a bit low; however, that's hardly an issue. Simply something for others to be aware of.
