The beds are awful it is sad when you have surgery and are in terrible pain and the bed is the problem and you have to sit in a chair because you can do the bed without it adding to your pain and when you ask for a better matteress they tell you they dont have one in the mean time there are 4 beds lined up in the hall on hold that you pass every time you go to your Husbands room.
Horrible!!! Was in waiting area for 5 hrs before called to go to a room. Was in there for about 45 min when a Dr came in and said that what we were there for thecould not help with. Then waited another 1 hr to be discharged. They could have told us that when we checked in and told them what we were there for. I can understand busy but that is ridiculous to walk in and literally say we can’t help with your situation after having us wait that long.
My daughter has had two wrist surgeries at Norton's and both times there was great care and it's a beautiful facilty...no complaints
I am new to Norton’s and tried to cancel my appointment.. the texts and calls didn’t work and I couldn’t get ahold of anyone until it was already too late. I was never told how to use my chart so I wish they would’ve let me know so I could cancel my appointment and go on with my life without attitude from the person on the other end of the phone. Nursing staff is amazing! However husband is currently laying in bed with a 4 day old Ileus from his surgery Thursday, started vomiting at 4, oral meds suspended and Drs have been paged multiple times for past 6 hours and have heard nothing back from the providers! He is laying her miserable and in pain, they said to have him pages if he gets worse or starts to vomit, we did that yet we have not heard from any doctor. Highly upset, we sit here with nothing happening.
The Nursing Staff at Norton Hospital Downtown 5H was Absolutely Phenomenal! Thank you!!! Couldn't have made it through without you! Compassion, Empathy, Excellence in Care, Professionalism and Pure Love for their Fellow Man! You are to be Commended!
