RecommendedAmamzing!!! I was a walk-in here...I had an emergency for a kitten I had just adopted. No other vet offices would listen to me, they'd just tell me to look elsewhere for care, one receptionist even told me over the phone that my kitten was probably going to die within a day, but then told me they weren't going to help me. I was in a panic and extremely distraught and Northwoods took me in to see and help care for my kitten the day I called, kindly assuring me that she was going to be okay. All the staff at Northwoods has been nothing but friendly and reassuring since we started our care here. I have a 6 month old lab whom has had all his puppy check-ups, shots, boarding, and most recently his neutering. They explain things in ways you can understand, make your animals feel loved, and the prices are more than fair. I highly recommend Dr. K and his entire staff!
We have taken our dogs and cats to Dr Kolesar since he opened many years ago. He and his staff are absolutely the only ones I trust with my precious babies.
We’ve been going to Northwoods for over 2 years now and always have the best experience. Dr. K always takes the time to explain everything in a way that I can understand. This summer I boarded my dog, Leia, for the first time and I was an emotional mess leaving her. The girl that checked her in wrote “extra love” on her chart so I was more at ease. I recommend Northwoods whenever anyone asks for a vet recommendation.

We called on a surgery day when they don’t normally take walk-ins, as nonpatients with a wheezing kitty. When the staff heard about our situation, they had us come right in. The vet was efficient and capable, the staff members were all very kind. Our cat got the treatment she needed and we are pleased to have them as our new vet clinic.
Northwoods staff is the best. Not only do they provide the best care for your pets. But when they helped put our male lab down they gave us the peace and comfort as our pets family too. They even sent us a card of condolences too. Great place.
Just called the vet for the second time at 7pm because my dog eats things he shouldn’t.(he ate a fish hook🤭)Doctor came right in and fixed him up. Thank you for always taking such good care of Melo!
