Northstar Optical is a family owned and operated optical. We meet the needs of all our patients whether they need a simple adjustment, a new prescription, or a whole new pair of glasses or contacts. We make glasses on site so you could have your glasses within 20 minutes, but if we do not have your lenses it could take about a week to order them and get them done. Opthamologist???? Mike is not an opthamologist let alone an optometrist. You are one in of a million customers that has been fooled. Fool me once shame on you....fool me twice shame on me!
Horrible experience Never go there. The Ophthalmologist (Mike Laughlin) is very rude. He did eye exam very fast not thorough at all. He even said to a consumer that " you're a evil customer......" He also let his big dog bark at customers. Never Never go there.
Reasonable eye exam – This is not the fanciest optical office. However, I like this office because they don't give you the run-around. They let the patient make decisions, based on well-explained choices. I've been going there at least four years, and I am very happy with the service and care I receive. It's as reasonably priced without insurance as some other places are WITH insurance. If you're looking for a good optical office for a basic eye exam for glasses or contacts, this is the place to go.
Do not waste your money there! – Please do not go there. They are offering good specials, but you ended paying the same or even more as going to a better optical store and they do not accept insurance. The office smells smoke (The doctor smokes) and food. They eat their lunch in the main lobby. The eye exam is very fast, not thorough at all. I asked for a prescription and 3 times they purposly gave me a wrong one, as they do not want you to go somewhere else for your contacts or glasses. My daughter's glasses were blurry and... read more

I went on 10-4-09 I had to wait a little while but it was definetly worth it. It didn''t take long and the office staff was very friendly and very polite, as was the Dr. I would highly recommend this Optical Clinic. Probally one of the best Dr.s I've ever seen. I live in Fort Worth Tx and was visiting a Aunt in Austin saw the add and called they were very helpful with directions for me to find the clinic and was very friendly when I arrived.
DO NOT GO THERE. IF THE OFFICE IS EMPTY MSOT FO TEH TIEM, THERE IS A VERY GOOD REASON FOR IT!! TAKE TEH ADVISE I IGNORED AND REGRET IT NOW.
