We cannot thank the staff at Northern Beaches enough for the incredible care we received. Thank you also to the wonderful ambo team who helped through a difficult situation, getting us to the ER swiftly and assuring us that things will be great in time. From the moment we walked into the ER, the nurses and doctors were compassionate & professional, and they assured us everything would be ok. By far the worst hospital experience I have ever encountered. I was submitted into emergency ward at 10am. After waiting for 4 hours I was told a Doctor wont have time to attend to me and was told to go to the Medical Centre within the hospital. Once booked in there I had to wait another 2.5 hrs (total of 6.5 hr wait) before being seen by a Doctor. A week has gone by and I received my lab results and now realize that the Doctor at Norther Beaches Hospital after a 6.5 Hr wait had misdiagnosed me and had prescribed medication ... read more

I would like to provide feedback regarding my recent experience in the Emergency Department. As a single mother with limited support, I spent many hours in the Emergency Department with my 4 months old son. Given the lengthy stay and the financial burden of hospital parking, I politely asked the receptionist whether a parking voucher or any form of parking assistance was available.
