We’ve been taking our cat Oatmeal and Foo the doodle to North Powers Animal Hospital for years now. We wouldn’t take them anywhere else! After every appointment there, I tell my husband that I wish I could find a “people doctor” as kind, thorough, and as compassionate as Dr. Gwen Carlson. She treats our pets as if they were her own.
After recently moving to Colorado Springs, my elderly pooch developed a swelling in his ear flap. I was pet / house sitting for my son and found a magnet for NPAH on their refridgerator. The NPAH team was able to provide an appointment quickly and we were treated by Dr. Markel. I was extremely impressed with her knowledge and the compassion she showed my Joey. My cat has received excellent care from Dr. Carlson for some skin allergies. He was not treated effectively for this issue at a vet clinic we previously went to, and he developed an infection. Their care for him at North Powers Animal Hospital has been amazing and such a breath of fresh air. I wholeheartedly recommend this veterinarian hospital and Dr. Carlson!
I just wanted to say thanks to NPAH. I've been bringing my cat here for a year and a half. The front desk staff are always kind and courteous. They do an amazing job of juggling the phones and patients every time I'm in, and always ensure you are taken care of. On my most recent visit I had the pleasure of meeting with Dr. Smith. My cat has kidney issues that are advancing, and she did a wonderful job of patiently and kindly explaining all of the issues and what could be done. I have been in rescue for 20 years and have been to almost every clinic in town. NPAH, is by far the most caring, compassionate and knowledgeable place around. Even if we disagree on matters of pet care, they are open to learning new protocols using natural products such as essential oils.
