I now understand why this location used to have a sign that read (paraphrase) "If you physically assault the staff you will be prosecuted". NOT protection for patients, but protection for THEM. In fact, a Psychiatrist here put a restraining order on my friend for wanting the only ADHD medication that works for him. I love my therapist Christine Rodriguez so want to be clear she is not the problem. The manager here is a "Karen" from hell who causes more problems than she solves. I wish I could give 0 stars. The lady that I saw was pretty rude from the gate. I told her about how I'd been doing. She said I have 2 options a very heavily sedative drug or another pretty sedative one that she prescribed. I was like well i guess the less sedative one seeing as i have a job. A toddler. I drive places. I told her what had worked for me im the passed she said absolutely not. U get A or B. I walked out more upset than I was when I had my episode about 3 weeks prior. The staff is decent and I've found a great therapist but the psychiatrist is awful. No sense of urgency or desire to actually help people. Medications don't get refilled and there's 0 empathy for a profession presumably about helping people. The only good thing I can say is it's at least free (thanks medical while you still exist)

I’ve been to various therapists over the course of 10 years at family health centers of San Diego. Some have been incredible and some have provided really disappointing care and advice. I’m writing a one star review because this is the 2nd therapist in a row that has decided to leave FHC abruptly. My current therapist and previous one were both absolutely wonderful and I really felt like I was making progress before they informed me they were leaving and passing me off to someone else.
