Good Vets Dr Fish & Dr Ransom are animal lovers. They have both treated my animals for 10 years now. It's a fairly well organized office. They are accessible 24 hours a day via a cell phone number that Dr. Ransom generously shares. They always give appts especially when you have a sick animal. They are not always quick to get you in and out but it's an active office and I feel Dr. Ransom, especially, takes alot of time with every animal and owner. great vets!!! we have been going there for about a year for dental work, spaying and illnesses. although i thought their prices were high i also found that they were willing to work with me above and beyond what anyone would expect from a business so that i can provide the care that my beloved pets need!!! they did provide a multipet discount and they let you know costs up front so there really are no surprises. the vets are both great- very kind and concerned. expect to spend some time there as they love to teach!! but they... read more
Good VET - Ransom/Fish Good vet. Very caring.....both (Fish/Ransom) gets right down on the floor with your dog to figure things out. I've been to vets that didn't bend over to look at my dog. Sure....vets are expensive but they price match all meds.....I've left meds there, ran home and printed out Internet pricing, returned to the office and they've matched pricing. North Oaks Animal Hospital is OUTSTANDING We had an issue with our Dog that required immediate medical attention. Lucky enough for us, we were able to catch the doctor's prior to leaving their office at 7:00 pm on a Saturday. When I called they listened patiently as I explained what the problems were with my dog and how we weren't sure what we needed to do. Welcoming I like this vet office. They are a little laid back but this can be helpful because they really try to accommodate their clients schedules. Also one reviewer stated that they didn't care for the fact that cats were walking around. As a cat lover this is one thing I really appreciated and loved about this vet office. I liked seeing the cats and shouldn't a vet clinic have a few office pets? As far as dogs not liking it, when cats are not welcome they know how to make themselves scarce.
not my experience I have also been going to north oaks for years and i ask for dr fish because he is quick and to the point. dr ransom is .very thorough but she can go on and on and i have things to do. dr fish has been nothing but professional with my pets and i would trust him implicitly. dr ransom is great too but i don't always have time for a veterinary education. i guess to each their own.
the good/the bad I have been going to north oaks for many years, Dr Ransom, yes is kind of slow, but she makes sure you understand exactly what is going on. if your pet needs surgery or a dental or anything of the sort she will sit there and go over the exact cost of everything. If you are in a hurry all you have to do is state that and she can be very quick. the best this is the best husband wife team of doctors. they each have their own style, dr fish is quicker to the point and a good surgeon while dr ransom is slower but more informative and an excellent dentist. i have 3 animals who have all gone to north oaks all their lives and received excellent care. I would recommend them highly.
