North Metro has great staff and wonderful physicians. The Geri psychiatric unit is very valuable to the metro area and serves our geriatric population well!
The nurses in the emergency room were absolutely crap. My mom had a broken wrist obviously. They did x-rays and gave her a limited amount of pain medication saying that if they gave her anymore she would crash. She was shaking and screaming. Being the inexperienced people they are, of course they couldn't do anything for her. So they had to transfer her to Springhill in NLR. They came in to do a splint. Do not use this hospital ER besides being incompetent, they will overcharge you using any loophole they can find. Even though the hospital may be in network, the physicians at the ER may not be. I was given a discount from my insurance for this dr being in network and continued to be billed for this discount. When I disputed the bill was told that even though the Dr. was contracted with a seccondary network which was in network, the billing provider he uses is not, therefore they will not accept the discount. There is a Nurse there named Natasha. SHE IS VERY VERY VERY RUDE RUDE RUDE!!! you need to fire her before she gets your hospital into a lawsuit!! Patty is a great nurse.
Just moved here and had to pay a visit to this hospital. Though the personalities in the ER leave much to be desired, meaning they act like they didn't want to be there and no compassion at all the rest of my stay was great. They we happy and kind and really cared about my illness and going home. You people that are complaining need to visit some hospitals in Louisiana if you want to see awful. And its a heck of a lot better than Baptist down the road. They sent me home because it was recommended I go there and 4 hours later... read more
This is the WORST hospital ever, they just used the insurance to get them paid & did absolutely nothing at all to fix the problem. They are TERRIBLE !!!
