We love North Main Pet Lodge We have boarded our dogs at North Main for many years and I totally agree with JaneAnn G. Our dogs love coming here and we know that they are well-cared for and safe. We know that we can enjoy our vacations without worrying about our dogs. Our German Shepherd is very skittish and she loves to come here to see Chris and Colleen and the other staff. North Main Pet Lodge This is an almost-downtown kennel that has been around for years. It's fairly modern, and there is a built-in grooming service (Four Paws Grooming, where you dog can be groomed/bathed, to be spanking clean and beautiful, when you return home.
'Puppy Camp' in Walnut Creek!! Boy was I lucky when a good friend recommended North Main Pet Lodge!!! Chris and Colleen and their staff have been great with all my dogs. As soon as we open the tailgate my Labs get excited to go to "camp". They walk in the door and never look back! "Pet Lodge" is a family institution in Walnut Creek and is worth the drive! Check it out! They are always happy to give prospective clients a tour.
Review of North Main Pet Lodge We are always happy when we take Audrey, our rescued Grey Hound to North Main Pet Lodge. She's always excited to come and go. Which makes us jealous because Audrey is excited to go stay some where else. But it's also comforting knowing that she's with a good kennel and is well cared for. The staff is always very friendly and they really care for your pet. I would recommend North Main Pet Lodge to anyone. Thank you for taking such good care of Audrey over the last ten days...
Unfriendly We dropped in this afternoon. There was a woman taking out the trash when we drove up. She rudely told us they were closed and walked off. We will not be making anymore inquiries about their services. I hope they aren't this rude to all their potential clients!
RecommendedWe LOVE NMPL! Our pup has boarded here and stayed for daycare to socialize with the other pups. They do a fantastic job at catering to the needs of our furry friend, and we absolutely love being able to let him engage in group play. Jax is always so much more confident and happy even after a few hours at the facility, we've definitely seen so many positive changes in him since we started bringing him in for daycare and lodging. I would absolutely recommend to anyone looking for a safe space for their pups.
They really know how to take care of dogs. Its a real kennel, not just a warehouse with 35 dogs. Each dog gets his own space except at playtime and walktime. The open warehouse places I used, my dog comes home a wreck for 3 days after, over-tired and anxious.
We boarded our puppies there this weekend, and they had a fantastic time! North Main really takes the time to understand your puppies personalities and pairs your pups with the right playmates. They also did a fantastic job of grooming our puppies for us. We had tried to clean Ellie up after her first run in with a skunk last week to no avail. Fortunately North Main Pet Lodge came to the rescue for us!
I've been taking my great dane, Beaux, here for a little over a year now for both daycare and lodging. I simply have no words to describe how wonderful every single person at North Main Pet Lodge is. The staff takes great care of any needs I may have for my dog on any particular day and Beaux absolutely loves getting out of the car in the mornings to see them. Just a wonderful environment and I trust them with Beaux one hundred percent. I very highly recommend the folks at North Main. �
