Husband is leaving this clinic because “Office policy” to see a senior on statins is every 3 months w bloodwork after taking these meds for years. He chose not to do this so he has been deemed noncompliant and told it would be written in his record. ! Firing Dr. Cobb and going elsewhere.! Could this be a key factor to rising healthcare?

Dr. Cobb lacked many things during my appointment with him, the biggest of which, was Empathy. I came to him with the concern that I cannot eat without becoming incredibly ill, which in turn, has led to me losing considerable weight and frequent dizzy spells/passing out. I was told by Dr. Cobb that I simply wasn’t trying hard enough, and that he would schedule to see me in a year. I have been going to North Hills Family Medical Center for 30+ years. I tried to refill a prescription and they said they’d contact my doctor. Imagine my surprise when I went to check and see if it was ready and it said, Denied the doctor said you are no longer a patient! Can you get fired by your doctor? I called the office and was put on hold for a while and then they said they’d call me back. Apparently, you CAN get fired by your doctor! A while ago, I went in because I was experiencing fatigue. I did not have trouble sleeping, I was exercising, I didn't eat bad. I didn't understand why, maybe my PCP would know. After that appointment, nothing changed. I left still not understanding why. I stopped coming for a long time. I ended up coming back because I wanted a referral to see a specialist.
