very helpful people. Food, clothing, counseling, dental services, clinic. They helped me renew my driver's licence because I couldn't afford the fee. Be polite and honest. They will help you if you meet their criteria.
I had a tooth extraction, it was the absolute worse experience in my life. When I got their they announced out loud "extraction". The student who worked on me name was Aaron omg he had to numb me 3 times before I wS completely numb. He pulled and pulled and pulled until it felt like my jaw bone was coming apart. He the drilled and drilled and drilled. All I can say is not having money for a real dentist is not the best way for me. Tried to call to find out about getting help. Extremely rude to me and talked to me like I was an idiot.
I just left this place for assistance finfinancially. The Director Judy, was vile to me and husband and proceeded to bi little him about him not having a job, to which she then called our apartments and spoke loudly and monotone to them, then asked us rushingly taking our info as well. After all said and done she told my husband he made the poorest decision staying with me in hospital while I was struggling to give birth for two weeks. The staff are usually elderly, retired, rich, comfortable living people. My experience has been they are rude and out of touch. Majority of clients are minority. The services provided are grocery pantry, clothes closet, employment help, utility/rent help, medical all, dental & counseling service to the needy. The dental staff (younger) the worst with the attitudes.Mist are volunteers but, I think they need compassion and sensitivity training. In my opinion.
