I’ve just learned that Bob Lalonde, the absolute best service manager in my 50 years of buying cars, has been dismissed from the dealership. Big mistake. I see no reason to buy a car there now. A lot of customers will go with Bob, wherever he lands and regardless of the brand.
Thoroughness of troubleshooting has changed significantly in the past few months. The service dept is short staffed and backed up. Went in for a few issues and most were just listed as "could not be replicated" when I got the car back (not fixed). They did charge me for AC issues which I continued to have after I picked the car up. Went to a different dealer and got all those "could not replicate" issues solved and the issue with my AC was a faulty compressor not low refrigerant which was what they had said. North Coast Subaru is a class act from soup to nuts! salesman Bob even went out of his way to pick me up to bring me to the dealership to sign papers for our new car. my husband was meeting us there! Had a wonderful car chat with Bob who is a fabulous person and member of the Subaru family! everyone at Subaru cheered us on when our purchase was final which was icing on the cake to a perfect experience!
