They treated me with patience and respect with smiling faces the entire time! Clear instructions were given as to what could be done and where I could wait. I highly recommend North Coast!

Medical care on the Mendocino coast
The ER sucks, you can have your hand cut off and the first words out of the nurse are, we’re not going to give you pain medication in an unprofessional snippy tone of voice. Who cares! All the while you’re holding your hand in your other hand. Don’t go unless they transfer you to a better hospital. They are NOT professional. Every six months to a year a traveling primary or specialist doctor arrives and you need to start all over. Go to Willits Hospital where most of Fort Bragg residents drive to be treated appropriately.
I came to the clinic without an appointment. The nurse practitioner for immediate care was out sick that day. Dr Fleming saw me in between her regular appointments. It was my first encounter with her. She was very attentive, listened carefully, asked good questions and explained her thinking and recommendations. I was given the prescriptions I needed with good results. I was very happy with the care I received from her.
I was discharged from this practice after 18 years of being with this practice, but a doctor that obviously had a personality clash with me. This doctor is named Dr Sandra Fleming. It was obvious to me that she didn't like me, but I wasnt given the option of seeing anyone else. I had an accident where I was taken into custody on one occasion, and my motorcycle stopped on main street on another occasion. Had occasion to use the Immediate Care Clinic at the NCFHC yesterday for a couple of easily diagnosed and treatable ailments...walked in w/o appt. and was seen soon after by very friendly and competent Suzanne Hewitt F.N.P......in and out and off to Kelly at the pharmacy and home again, home again..I think this is a great thing for the area
