The Venice exhibit was awesome, as well as the rest. The ancient Etruscan, Greek, & Roman amphorae were stunning as well as the Egyptian sarcophagus.
Love this place. I've been a regular attendee of the museum since I moved to Raleigh in 2006, and their summer concert series is so awesome! The newly renovated park is amazing to walk in the morning or afternoon. Do yourself a favor and check out this "hidden" gem in Raleigh.
The concert was super! My only complaint was that the food, beer and wine lines were WAY too long! Need to triple up on the stations, at least!
I love it there. Take my dog for walks at the museum all the time.
The Renaissance Fair was awesome. Only drawback was too many people! The arts and crafts were age appropriate too. Would suggest more shade - tents for rain. More food trucks -the lines were long and some trucks ran out (ice cream-water-etc). But it was an interesting show with fun for all ages.
Like Deborah Greenhouse, who just posted, I drove 4 hours from Asheville to attend tonight's concert. I had previously read concerts take place rain or shine. I only just saw the second note that you will receive a text and/or info will appear on the FB page. The gentleman who purchased the tickets never saw any information about signing up for text messages. There is also nothing on your FB page that alerts anyone to the concert being cancelled.
