I felt it was time to give my review of the labor and delivery unit. I have given birth 6 times. 5 hospital births and 1 home birth. 4 were born out of state and 2 were born in North Carolina. I feel that me having given birth six times, I have went through many experiences, so I have a great history to compare with my most recent experience . Went here today for falling and im 15 weeks pregnant my high risk ob told me to go in and get me and the baby evaluated well went in nurses were great but the mid wife checked baby heart rate it was good then said okay baby is good but as for you you gotta go to regular er so I guess me falling didnt matter especially i told them my right side of my stomach hurts so I left called my ob told them what happened there really upset they said l&d could of taken me to xray ... im very scared to give birth here now might look for d... read more
I had my baby here almost 3 months ago. When I arrived, I was quickly sent to a room, but it was not a birthing room. I was in there laboring for 4 hours. One nurse came in to check my vitals every now and then. She was nice. But I was alone with my husband most of the time in labor. I would have liked atleast a birthing ball or something. The midwife came in only twice to check if I was dilating. She did not seem very friendly or comforting. Just sterile like the room I was in.
