My bf and I had done some research on Yelp before we went to Madison for a concert and wanted to see if we could find a bbq place and came across North and South and decided to give it and try and boy were we glad we did. We were greeted very nicely by Jessie who also took care of taking our drink and food order. My bf got the "Austin" which is a combo of pulled pork, ribs and brisket and he got mashed potatoes and a cup of chili as his side's and pretty much cleaned his tray except for a small piece of the pulled pork. Love, love LOVE this place! Seafood and BBQ all under one roof, yes please. The Hurricanes are the best around and the Firecracker Shrimp is so delicious. They literally have something for everyone and the staff is so helpful.

With a menu that lives up to the name, you'll find some terrific smoked items that range from salmon to brisket. With chicken, pork, beef and fish items to choose from, it would be hard not to find something to enjoy at the North and South Seafood & Smokehouse in Madison. My boyfriend, Andy, and I absolutely love eating at North and South! With our busy schedules, we have lunch dates on Wednesdays and North and South is a common Wednesday lunch stop for us. This Valentine’s Day was our second one together as a couple and our second one spent at North and South for lunch. We especially love the firecracker shrimp and the service we receive at North and South is always great.
