RecommendedI took a tour last year and it was fascinating, there is so much history attached to it and this building had alot to share. I would love to tour it again and doing major renovation to it would take all this away . I do agree to make it a little safer so that we can tour the upper floors and they can raise more money to renovate more. I think it is wonderful that there are people trying to keep this building and it's history alive.
I would like to recommend this place. But in all my efforts to contact the fine people that run this endeavor, no one has ever replied. I pretty sure this would be a 5 star review, but until I actually get to experience this place for myself, I can't give the glowing review. One suggestion would be to at least change the voicemail message to reflect the current situation. Also, any up to date posting on Facebook or other social media would be appreciated.
Great tour and I vary thankful that the Nopeming tours gave us the opportunity to experience such a great but horrible part of our states history... Again thank you Nopeming...
We really enjoyed our tour tonight. I think we had some supernatural activity caught in our photos. The first photo looks like a nurse from back in the day wearing white uniform and white nurses hat. No we didn’t have anyone wearing white on our tour. The second photo contains a spiritual orb. I saw several down the hallway when I was alone but only caught one on film. It’s a perfect circle.

My mother performed there for the residents as a child in 1949 and then worked there as a nurse in the 60's. My grandmother, grandfather and uncle all spent their last years there when it was a nursing home. We just toured the facility this summer and it was great!
We had so much fun on our tour last Saturday night! Although I think I might have caught some uninvited guest peeking in on us on the third floor. Thank you so much for taking us through.
