my child(8 years old) had an appointment there today. we had our masks but refused to wear them. the Dr came in and looked at us like we had the plague & said, "whoa,we need to get these people a mask" nope! when some of the employees weren't even wearing a mask, we refused! have a good day & God Bless! I will be finding another eye doctor for my family. I thought better of this facility until today! Nixa
My comment applies ONLY to the Nixa Eye Care facility and today's receptionist. I arrived 20 minutes prior to my appointment. The receptionist asked for my social security number. I advised her that, per the insurance company (VSP) SSN wasn't required. She said, at a minimum, she needed the last 4 digits - which I provided. She typed something on the computer and advised me that she needed the entire SSN or I have to pay, out of pocket, for the visit. She even commented that she didn't have any reason to want my SSN. Maybe they are having a bad day. Not sure because this is my first visit. Waited 50 minutes for my appointment (scheduled at 4:20, called back at 5:10). I was told at check-in that they were “behind but not too far.” After I asked about wait, I was taken back but clinic staff seemed annoyed. Asked me if “I was in a hurry” instead of apologizing for my wait. Saw eye doctor at 5:55. He was pleasant and apologetic. Almost didn’t post review because of how nice he was.
