Dr Nitz did surgery on my shoulder and it was the easiest recovery ever. I am now seething for my knee. He presents options and is not running to surgery instantly. I would definitely recommend him
PROS: 2 shoulder surgeries and 1 knee surgery in the past decade and all experiences were great and recoveries were as expected . . . did ALL home exercises + PT and now feeling a bit bionic. CONS: wait time for initial appointment, surgery and follow ups were lengthy, with congested waiting room (pre COVID19).
Visited Dr Nitz for a torn ACL, he gave me a couple of options and left it up to me to make a decision. He was very informative and took the time to answer my questions.

There is someone in your appointment department that seriously needs more training. When I had to call to make an appointment, she said I had to bring in a MRI disc from Kettering hospital in Troy. So I drove to Troy from West Milton to get the disc only to be told at my appointment it wasn't necessary! You can pull it up on your computer system which what I said to her on the phone but she insisted I had to bring the disc!
So far all is fine.
4th surgery that Dr Nitz has performed on me. All 4 experiences were very positive. Highly recommended surgeon!
Dr. Nitz is the best there is in orthopedic surgery. He always has time for you and he never seems to be rushed, he’ll take his time to answer all your questions and explain things to you. His whole staff seems to have their act together.
Dr Nitz reviewd with me the MRI of my shoulder. He gave me confidence in his experience to reduce my pain and increase my motion thru two arthroscopic procedures and therapy.
